Orion Network Configuration Manager (NCM) is not only a comprehensive configuration management solution, but is also a device management solution. Orion NCM creates a detailed network inventory of all managed devices. Serial numbers, interface and port details, IP addresses, ARP tables, installed software and many other details are included in Orion NCM’s configuration management database.

Real-time network inventory reports are available directly from the Orion NCM web interface or you can easily schedule these reports to be generated automatically and then e-mailed or printed. Reports can also be exported to Excel, HTML, PDF, or a plain text file.

Orion NCM’s inventory reports can also help save you money if you have maintenance contracts based on the number of devices in your operational networks. Before Orion NCM, you probably had to choose between paying a vendor invoice "as is" or committing many hours to reconciling the invoice against what actually resides on your network. With Orion NCM, you can create inventory reports with the appropriate filters to select vendor and model types quickly, making it easy to reconcile maintenance contracts.
