Toolset FAQ
How do I upgrade my existing Toolset to a newer version?
Upgrading to Toolset 9.2 is automatic and handled through the installer. For more information, see the Release Notes Upgrading Section.
Is it possible to use the configuration and data files from my prior toolset release in this release?
Yes. Copy the configuration files from the folder where your version of the SolarWinds Toolsets resided into the folder where the current SolarWinds Toolset executables reside. This is also the case when moving your current release of the software to a new machine. The possible files you may wish to copy are:
SWNetPerfMon.cfg
Network-Monitor.cfg
DHCP-Scope-Monitor.cfg
IP-Address-Management.IPDB
Bandwidth-Monitor.cfg
Dictionaries.cfg
Syslog.mdb
Advanced-CPU-Load.CPUDB
*SNMP-Graph
For a more complete list of files, see the Administrator Guide.
Why am I told I do not have any licenses available?
Please verify that you have installed the correct Toolset package. If your license is for the Professional Edition you will not be able to install the Engineer's Edition.
